Spring swells light up the South Shore of O'ahu! April 8th 2025

A fresh moderate period South swell topped out tuesday afternoon with swell currently pounding the south shore sending everyone scrambling to catch waves from Kaisers, in betweens and rock piles to Ala Moana Bowls with the current swell filling in at 2.1 ft 16 second intervals out of the South at 185 degrees.
In order to take full advantage of the peak swell we decided to shoot from two different locations fronting the parking lot at the Hilton Hawaiian Lagoon later relocated to Magic Island. It was good to see some familiar faces including Kapena Kukonu shaper of Kapena Surfboards. Highlight of the day was see some many groms paddle out and get barrelled. One one point it became a drop in fest.
We are just 15,000 subscribers shy of 50k. So close yet so far. I never imagined O'ahu Surf Films would reach as many people as it has today and become a household name on all shores of the island. I am super thankful got the 500k to over 1 million total viewers who tune in every month.
